The Joe Convery Blues Band is a hard hitting group with a finger on the past and an eye on the future of the blues.
The three members: Joe Convery (guitar),Tom Williams(vocals/bass), Philipp Christian Barry (drums), have many years of recording,
performing and touring experience.
Joe Convery : Originally from New York City, Joe has played with many regional and national bands. Among them, Hubert Sumlin Band, James Cotton Blues Band, and most recent the Guitar Gable Blues Band. He has recorded with Guitar Gable and Johnny Lee Hooker.
Tom Williams: Tom has played with many national and local acts, including The Dave Forikher band
Philipp Christian Barry: Philipp is from New York City and has performed and recorded with many acts including: Benny King, The Four Tops, and backup bands for Clarence Clemmons and Lonnie Brooks.
The Joe Convery Blues Band has what it takes to get the job done. From Convery's blazing solos, to William's blues drenched vocals, to the pumping rhythm section of Willams and Barry, you will find a great example of "Modern Piedmont Blues".
